60th Anniversary
Hospital Radio Colchester turned 60 in December 2023
During December 2023 we celebrated our Diamond Anniversary with a series of special events, including a 60 hour continuous broadcast and special programme from Colchester United.
Colchester MP Will Quince in the studio with Andy Patrick to kick off the 60 hours live broadcast which featured the Biggest Hits of the past 60 years, along with special guests.
Hospital Radio Colchester was launched on 22nd December 1963 by members of the supporters club at Colchester United. To commemorate we broadcast a special programme live from the Jobserve Community Stadium for the match between Colchester United and Salford City.
