Hospital Radio Colchester was disappointed to learn along with many others that the planned PFI expansion for Colchester General Hospital has been cancelled.
The news hits Hospital Radio Colchester hard because of the advanced plans to move to the hospital site as part of the expansion. Hospital Radio Colchester finds it increasingly difficult to be so remote from the people it wants to interact with to provide music and cheer.

Whilst understanding the reasons for the decision, the disappointment will be felt by the volunatary membership who had been looking forward to meeting and interacting with the listeners much more.
Hospital Radio Colchester will continue dialogue with the hospital in order to realise the benefits that both sides envisaged.
