LIVE MUSIC ON THE WARDS

Hospital Radio Colchester broadcasts music which is suited to the audience in hospitals and likes to make programmes as interactive as possible. Having purchased a Tieline outside broadcast unit this year with the help of many local people and businesses it was put to good use on Tuesday 10th December 2002. A local singing group called "STAGE DOOR CANTEEN" volunteered their services.
They provided a concert based on 50's music and rounded the show off with some favourite Christmas tunes. It was broadcast from the patients lounge in the Great Bentley Ward with a number of patients making their way to listen from this ward and others around the hospital. Visitors were also invited to stay. Those who were unable to get along were able to listen to the hour long special LIVE on Hospital Radio Colchester.
Our thanks go to Stage Door Canteen for bringing everyone this superb concert - it was much enjoyed.
