PRESENTATION TO ERIC SOUTHERNWOOD

Hospital Radio Colchester has been providing commentaries of every Colchester United home games since 1952. Eric Southernwood is a founder member of Hospital Radio Colchester and has commentated on just about every match up until his recent retirement.
During this time Eric has witnessed the highs and lows of the U’s, including commentating on the memorable FA Cup win against Leeds in 1971.
Hospital Radio Colchester and Colchester United publicly acknowledged the tremendous contribution Eric has made to both the club and Radio service over the past 50 years at a Saturday afternoon game. Eric was presented with a certificate, an advanced copy of the Colchester v Leeds commemorative CD (available soon) from Andy Patrick, Secretary of Hospital Radio. Colchester United's Chief Executive Marie Partner and John Schultz presented a signed Colchester United shirt.
