Hospital Radio Colchester has received a donation of £318 from quiz team regulars at the Rovers Tye public house in Ipswich Road, Colchester. The donation was a result of various collections made in memory of Eric Kimberley, who organised the regular Wednesday Night “Flippin Eck” quiz at the pub for more than 4 years.
Eric, who was also a keen volunteer for Hospital Radio Colchester, passed away in January this year so the regulars thought it would be a fitting tribute to raise funds for one of Eric’s favourite charities.
The Rovers Tye are also closely associated with Hospital Radio Colchester through their sponsorship of the regular Request Show broadcast to patients.
