Colchester United - Community Player of the Year

Hospital Radio Colchester's player of the year award has been presented regularly each year by the stations commentary team at the end of the season. However, this year the service has joined forces with Colchester United to add the word 'Community' and will now be known as the 'Hospital Radio Colchester Community Player of the Year' award.
The award is a joint venture between Hospital Radio Colchester and Colchester United to reward the effort of the player who has done the most work in the Community during the past season.
This is the first time this award has been awarded, and was presented to Simon Hackney at the players awards dinner night, held at the Weston Homes Community Stadium on 12th May 2010.
