New Studio Open Day

On Saturday 13th December, 10am - 3pm, Hospital Radio Colchester will hold a public open day to show off its new facilities to members of the public who will be able to have a go at using the equipment.
The charity broadcasts to patients at both of the Trust’s hospitals – Colchester General Hospital and Essex County Hospital. It has two studios at South Lodge and remote broadcast facilities at Colchester Utd FC and the chapel at Colchester General Hospital.
Hospital Radio Colchester has an average of 30 staff working for it on a voluntary basis and has to raise at least £7,000 a year just to continue broadcasting. Its previous bases have included the Odeon cinema in Crouch Street and Colchester Utd’s former Layer Road ground.
