Hospital Radio Colchester holds a Fun Day each year on the second May Day bank holiday in the Lower Castle Park in Colchester. It's our main fundraising event for the year. There's plenty to see and do.
The arena has events scheduled throughout the day. Normally there will be a mix of dancing, majorettes, football skills, dog agility and other items to keep you entertained.
Each year we have a number of bands playing music throughout the day. These often range from modern to classical.
Traders who book with us in advance are allowed to bring along a variety of side shows and fairground rides.
Our roadshow is on hand to provide games and entertainment throughout the day.
There is a variety of food and drink available from burgers, hot dogs, doughnuts to candy floss.
We offer charities free space at the Fun Day. This brings in a record number of stalls alongside the hospital radio stalls. The benefit to the local charities is obvious with the vast number of people attending the day and spending time looking around everything they were showing.
Funday is held on the last bank holiday in May at Lower Castle Park in Colchester. There's a large free car park off Cowdray Avenue and gates open at 11am. Admission for adults is £1.50 and accompanied children are free!
If you are a charity or trader and would like to be part of the event then you need to get in touch with us before hand. Please get in touch with Andy Patrick through our Contact Pages
